Answers, in plain words.

Every question the assistant can answer, written out in full. If yours is not here, book a demo call and we will answer it directly.

How is it priced?

Revolutionary RMM is priced per managed endpoint, with no per-technician seats and no separately sold modules. Rates are not published: the demo call covers them, and a written quote states the rate, counting rules and terms. More: Pricing

What is Revolutionary RMM?

Revolutionary RMM is a remote monitoring and management platform for MSPs and internal IT teams. Monitoring, patching, remote support, tickets and documentation live in one connected workspace. More: The platform

How do I book a demo?

Book a 30-minute discovery call through Microsoft Bookings on the contact page. We walk through the workflows you care about, including the limits, and answer pricing questions directly. More: Book a demo call

How secure is Revolutionary RMM?

Each MSP workspace has its own database, staff sign in with two-factor authentication, stored secrets are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and agent commands and updates are signed. Administrative actions and credential reveals create audit records. More: Security and trust

How can I contact you?

Send a message through the contact form or email info@revolutionaryrmm.com. A person reads every message, and you can reach us at any hour because support is 24/7. More: Contact

What shipped recently?

Improvements now running on production, newest first, each with the release that carries it.

  • Fix Outlook search from the script library (in 0.399.0): A ready-made script repairs Windows Search when Outlook search returns nothing or only old mail.
  • Clear reasons when a deploy finds nothing (in 0.398.2): When a patch deploy matches no devices, the message says why, for example that devices are waiting for a reboot.
  • Retries that know when to stop (in 0.398.1): An update that fails three times on a device is no longer retried automatically, and the Patching page names it. Technicians can still retry by hand.
  • Reboot-aware patching (in 0.398.0): Updates that are installed and waiting for a reboot are recognized and no longer redeployed. The Patching page shows them as waiting for reboot and offers Reboot to finish.

An entry appears here only once production is running that release, so nothing is listed ahead of a deploy. More: Changelog

Which operating systems does the agent support?

The agent runs on Windows 10 and 11, Windows Server 2016 and later, macOS on Intel and Apple silicon, and Linux with glibc 2.31 and later. Network devices are monitored over SNMP without an agent. More: The platform

What is on your roadmap?

The roadmap has three stages, each item with an honest status label and no date.

Now: Launch readiness and security hardening (In Verification), Protecting the workflow you rely on (In Verification), Measuring outcomes honestly (Building), A written data governance statement (Building), Recovery you can check (Building).

Next: Connected asset context, Network discovery per location, Versioned, reviewed automation, Policy you can preview and roll back, Change records and maintenance windows, Verified third-party application updates.

Later: Integrations from partners' real stacks, Stable, documented APIs and events, Governed AI assistance, Verified offboarding, Outcome reports, Governed mailbox response, Technician apps for phones.

Items marked Shipped on the roadmap are the ones available today. Everything above shows direction, not a commitment or a date. More: Roadmap

What version are you on?

Production is running version 0.399.0 of Revolutionary RMM today. Releases are small and frequent, and every customer is on the same version. More: Changelog

Which SNMP versions are supported?

SNMP v2c and v3. Version 3 supports authentication and privacy, including a context name for devices that need one. More: Network monitoring

Can we evaluate it alongside our current RMM?

A parallel evaluation is fine, and it is not a free trial: you can talk with us and see the product without replacing your current RMM, moving every endpoint or committing to a purchase. Any parallel use, installation or data exchange during a pilot is checked against your environment and written into the agreed scope first. More: Design partners

Do you have SOC 2, a pen test or SLAs?

Not yet. We do not hold a SOC 2 report, have not completed an independent penetration test, do not carry cyber insurance, and do not offer contractual SLAs or a contractual response time. Support itself is 24/7: the founding team answers at any hour, which is not a staffed operations center on a shift rota. If your procurement needs an attestation report today, we will tell you so on the first call. More: Security and trust

Is pricing per technician?

No. Pricing follows managed endpoints, so you can add technicians without adding seats. Your quote confirms the current terms. More: Pricing

Is there an API?

A bearer-token API covers minting enrollment tokens and reading security posture today. A versioned API with scoped service accounts, signed webhooks and full data export is planned. More: Automation

Does the platform include Phishing simulation?

Yes. Phishing simulation is part of Revolutionary RMM and is running on production today. Phishing simulation campaigns for customer users. More: Every capability available today

Does the platform include Security training?

Yes. Security training is part of Revolutionary RMM and is running on production today. Security awareness training assignments for customer users. More: Every capability available today

Where is our data hosted?

On infrastructure we operate, with a separate PostgreSQL database and role for each MSP workspace. A written data governance statement, covering where data is stored and how it is kept and deleted, is in development. More: Security and trust

Who builds Revolutionary RMM?

Revolutionary Software designs, builds, hosts and supports Revolutionary RMM. More: About us

Does it include remote control?

Yes. Technicians connect through a native controller app to Windows, macOS and Linux, reach a Windows machine even at its sign-in screen, and move files both ways. More: Remote control

Does the platform include Cases?

Yes. Cases are part of Revolutionary RMM and are running on production today. Each issue as a case with an owner, the actions taken, and a fix confirmed by a later observation. More: Service desk

Does the platform include Cloud status?

Yes. Cloud status is part of Revolutionary RMM and is running on production today. Status of the cloud services customers depend on, in the same workspace as their devices. More: Every capability available today

Does it do patch management?

Yes. You see missing operating-system updates across customers, deploy them per device or across a customer, exclude what should wait, and follow each rollout until the next scan confirms it. More: Patch management

Is there a mobile app for technicians?

Not a native app. The web app is responsive and works on a phone for alerts, device status and tickets. Native technician apps for phones sit on the roadmap as something we are exploring, and only after the API they should be built on is stable. More: Roadmap

Can you roll back a patch that broke something?

Not automatically. A failed update is retried, and after three failures on a device it stops being retried and the Patching page names it, so a technician decides what happens next. Removing an installed update is a manual step today, and we do not claim automatic patch rollback. More: Patch management

Does the platform include Agent installers?

Yes. Agent installers are part of Revolutionary RMM and are running on production today. Agent installers and enrollment for the platforms the agent supports. More: Every capability available today

How do you compare to the other RMM tools?

We do not publish comparisons against named products, and we would rather you did not take ours on trust anyway. What we can do is make the comparison you run yourself a fair one. Three things are written down and kept current: every capability the platform has today, counted from the product's own source; what each of those capabilities does not do yet, on the same page as the capability; and a changelog where an entry appears only once production is running that release. A mature platform will beat us on breadth today, and where it does, our own pages say so. Bring the five things your team actually does every day and we will show you each one running, or tell you it is not there. More: The platform and the roadmap

Can we build our own reports and have them emailed on a schedule?

Not yet. There is a reports page with saved snapshots and PDF export, plus the per-customer activity report. A report builder with your own templates, chosen recipients and a schedule is not there today. More: Billing and reporting

Can we roll patches out in stages?

Not as pilot and broad rings yet. Each customer has its own auto-deploy rules, exclusions and maintenance windows, and a deployment can target a customer, a location, a device group or specific devices, so you can approve a pilot group first and the rest afterwards. Named rings with a deferral per ring are not there today. More: Patch management

Does it include ticketing, or do we need a separate PSA?

Many teams will not. Tickets, time, service-level targets, a client portal, quotes and invoicing are built in, so check contracts, agreements and procurement against your own process. More: For MSPs

Does it replace our antivirus?

No. It monitors and drives the antivirus already on the machine, Microsoft Defender or a third-party engine, including definition updates and threat state. It does not include a detection engine of its own. More: Endpoint protection

Does the agent run on older Windows versions?

The agent needs Windows 10 or later, or Windows Server 2016 or later. Windows Server 2012 R2 and older cannot run it, so monitor those machines over SNMP instead. More: The platform

Does the platform include Dashboard?

Yes. Dashboard is part of Revolutionary RMM and is running on production today. One overview of alerts, cases and device health across customers. More: Monitoring and alerts

Does the platform include SaaS security?

Yes. SaaS security is part of Revolutionary RMM and is running on production today. Security posture signals from customer SaaS applications. More: Every capability available today

Is the client portal branded?

Yes. It carries your logo, colors and business details, and so do the documents it produces. More: Service desk

Is two-factor sign-in required?

Yes, for staff who sign in with a password. With single sign-on your identity provider enforces the second factor, and sign-in protection adds lockouts, address blocking and scan detection. More: Security and trust

Can end users postpone a reboot?

Not with a prompt of their own yet. An update that is installed and waiting for a reboot is recognized as such, the device shows as waiting for reboot, and a technician can start the reboot when it suits the customer. There is no end-user deferral prompt today. More: Patch management

Are scripts versioned or approved before they run?

Not yet. Script versioning, optional second-person approval and staged rollouts are planned and shown on the roadmap. More: Automation

Can we connect before anyone signs in?

On Windows, yes: the sign-in screen is reachable and you can paste credentials through as keystrokes. On macOS and Linux you connect to a signed-in desktop. More: Remote control

Can we run one script across many devices at once?

Not for scripts yet. Patch deployments and uninstalls already run across many devices in one action, and a script runs on one device at a time or on a schedule through a policy. A bulk script or shell action across a selection of devices is not there today. More: Automation

Is Revolutionary IT the same company?

No. Revolutionary IT is a separate MSP and our first design partner: it uses the product and gives feedback, but it does not build or own it. Revolutionary Software builds and runs Revolutionary RMM. More: About us

Can alerts go to a chat channel?

By webhook. Alert rules send email and can post to a webhook, so a chat tool that accepts an incoming webhook can receive them. There are no built-in chat app integrations today. More: Monitoring and alerts

Can customers email in?

Yes. A support mailbox is polled, replies thread onto the existing ticket by mail conversation, and held messages wait on a pending board instead of disappearing. More: Service desk

Can I talk to a real person?

Yes. Book a demo call and you will talk to the team rather than to me. If you would rather write, the contact form goes to the same people.

Can it manage phones and tablets?

Yes. Apple iOS and iPadOS devices enroll using your own Apple push certificate, and Android Enterprise works once your workspace connects its own Google service account. Android Enterprise is built but not yet used in the field. More: Mobile devices

Do AI features send data to a model provider?

Yes. AI features send the context they work on to the model provider configured with your workspace's own key, and AI-assisted workflows are recorded in the audit trail. More: Security and trust

Do you patch third-party applications?

Not from a catalog yet. Applications are handled through the automation library: upload the installer, attach it to a policy, and it deploys silently. More: Patch management

Does a case close when a fix script succeeds?

No, a zero exit code is not proof of recovery. A case closes when the condition clears, when a technician closes it by hand, or when an operator records it as fixed, and the case shows which one happened. More: Monitoring and alerts

Does it enforce application allowlisting on devices?

Not on real endpoints yet, and it matters that we say which half works. The zero trust area builds and governs the policy: software authorized explicitly by hash or verified publisher, policies published as immutable revisions behind approvals, and events, incidents and reports read back from stored records. Enforcement by a live agent is not there, and in the walkthrough the endpoints are simulated or observed, which the tour page states on the video. Approval-gated elevation and sensitive actions are the part running today. More: See it in action

How do I sign in to my workspace?

Sign in at app.revolutionaryrmm.com with your organization's address. If you do not know the address, your administrator can tell you. More: Contact

How do we get a quote?

Book a demo call and share your approximate endpoint and customer counts, operating systems, network sites, required integrations and the workflows you want to evaluate. You then get a written quote with the rate, counting rules, minimum, term and any separate costs. More: Pricing

How do we roll out the agent?

Use the silent EXE or the MSI through Group Policy, Intune or configuration manager, with a reusable enrollment token per customer organization. More: For internal IT

What does it integrate with?

Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, Microsoft Defender or your third-party antivirus, Stripe, Square, PayPal, Alternative Payments and QuickBooks Online, and voip.ms, Twilio or Telnyx for text messages. The next integrations are chosen from the tools design partners actually run. More: The platform

Where can we see what is coming?

The public roadmap shows what is being built now, next and later. It shows direction, and no item is promised for a date. More: Roadmap

Can a script use a stored password without putting it in the script?

Not yet. Credentials live in the per-customer password store, where every reveal is recorded, and a script cannot pull a secret from it while it runs. Until that exists, keep secrets out of script bodies. More: Documentation

Can we add our own fields to a device?

Tags today, not custom fields. Devices take tags and tickets take custom fields. Named custom fields on a device, a location or a customer are not there today. More: Monitoring and alerts

Can you alert on a Windows event log entry?

Not as a general check yet. Unexpected reboots are detected from the event log, and the log can be read on a device from the tools on its page. A check that watches for an event pattern or a count of events over a period is not there today. More: Monitoring and alerts

Do you do backup or disaster recovery?

No. Backup and disaster recovery are not part of Revolutionary RMM and there is no backup vendor connector today. What the platform does around that work is watch the machines: alerts on the conditions you set, patch state, antivirus state, encryption state, unexpected reboots and who is on the device. Keep the backup product you run and tell us on the call which parts of it you need visible beside the devices. More: Every capability available today

Do you have multi-step playbooks?

Not multi-step and conditional yet. A single script can be attached to the check that saw the problem, its run and output are recorded, and the case closes only when a later observation confirms the fix. Chained steps with conditions and branches are not there today. More: Automation

How are you?

Good, thanks for asking. I am the assistant for Revolutionary RMM, so I am at my best when someone asks me something hard about the product. What would you like to know?

Is the agent signed?

Agent updates and the commands the server sends are cryptographically signed, and the agent refuses anything that fails the check. Which certificate the installer itself carries, and how it behaves under Smart App Control or Gatekeeper, is a question worth asking us directly rather than reading off a page, because the answer depends on the platform you are installing on. More: Security and trust

Is there an Outlook add-in?

No add-in. A support mailbox is polled, so mail becomes a ticket and replies thread onto it, and the ticket is worked in the app. Logging time from inside Outlook is not something we offer today. More: Service desk

How big is the team behind it?

We do not publish headcount, and a number would not tell you much either way. Revolutionary Software builds the product, Revolutionary IT is a separate MSP and the first design partner, and what the team has actually shipped is on the changelog, where an entry appears only once production is running that release. Ask on the call who you would be dealing with. More: About us

Is it safe to put the agent on every machine we manage?

That is the right question to ask of anything that can run code on every machine you look after, so here is what the agent will and will not accept. Every command it receives carries a digital signature that it checks before it acts, so an unsigned instruction is refused. Agent updates are signed and version-checked, and they wait while a remote session is running. A remote session needs an authenticated, signed ticket, and one without a valid signature is refused. Administrative actions and credential reveals create audit records naming who did what. What we cannot hand you is an independent attestation, because we do not have one yet. More: Security and trust

Is there a free trial or a free tier?

Not today. There is no self-serve trial, no free tier and no form that hands you a workspace. What there is instead: five recordings of the running product you can watch now with nothing to sign, and a demo call on a live workspace. Design-partner pilots are scoped and priced separately, and a conversation commits you to nothing. More: See it in action

Who else uses Revolutionary RMM?

We do not publish a customer list, a customer count or logos, and we are not going to invent one. What is true and checkable: Revolutionary Software builds the product, and Revolutionary IT, a separate MSP, is the first design partner and runs it on real customer work. If a reference conversation matters to your decision, ask on the demo call and we will tell you plainly what we can and cannot arrange. More: Design partners

Are you a person or a bot?

I am an automated assistant, not a person. I match your question to answers the team wrote and approved, so I cannot invent a feature or promise a date. If you want a human, book a demo call.

Do you record remote sessions to video?

No. Remote sessions are not recorded to video. Each session records who connected, to which device, when it started and ended, and its measured duration, and the person at the device sees a consent prompt and an on-screen indicator while it runs. More on remote control.

How are agent commands protected?

Commands carry a digital signature that the agent checks before acting, and agent updates are signed and version-checked. Who can send a command is controlled separately, by roles and customer scope. More: Security and trust

How many endpoints and customers can one workspace handle?

We do not publish a tested ceiling, and a number printed on a marketing page would be worth less to you than the answer you get on the call. What we can describe is the shape. Every MSP workspace has its own PostgreSQL database and role rather than a shared set of tables. You grow by adding customer organizations and devices, not instances or technician seats. Network devices are polled through one relay per site instead of an agent each. Bring your counts to the call and we will tell you what we have actually run. More: Security and trust

Will isolating a device lock us out too?

No. Isolation keeps the management agent, DNS and DHCP working, so you can still reach and repair the machine. Releasing it restores the firewall state it had before. More: Endpoint protection

Can it discover devices on its own?

Not yet. Today you add network devices by hand or from a template, and discovery per location is on the roadmap. More: Network monitoring

Can we control when agents update themselves?

Not per customer yet. The agent follows one published version, so the fleet moves together and no customer sits on an old agent. Per-customer agent rings with their own rollback are not there today. More: Monitoring and alerts

Can we put parts or products on a ticket?

Partly. Logged ticket time is the source of truth for billing, and catalog products can be added to an invoice. Adding parts to the ticket itself and having them flow to the invoice from there is not there today. More: Billing and reporting

Do we have to set it up like an MSP?

You do not have to. Run one organization, add your offices as locations, and group devices by operating system, tags or location. The multi-customer features are there if you ever need them. More: For internal IT

Do you filter email or replace an email security gateway?

No. Revolutionary RMM is not a mail gateway and does not filter mail. What it shows per customer tenant is the mail-side signal: reported phishing and mailbox threat signals, forwarding rules that send mail outside the domain, app consent, role changes and suspicious sign-ins, with block, revoke and sign-out responses available in Microsoft 365 and suspend in Google Workspace. Keep the gateway you run. More: Identity security

Does a conversation commit us to a pilot?

No. We start by discussing fit. Pilot scope, timing, access, data handling, support, pricing and exit terms are agreed separately, and only if both sides want to go further. More: Design partners

How are network devices counted?

Network monitoring is billed by site relay beyond an included allowance, not per switch, printer or firewall. Your quote states the allowance. More: Pricing

How does a customer's Microsoft 365 tenant connect?

The customer's administrator approves one Revolutionary RMM application for their own tenant. Each customer approves separately, so each can see exactly what you are allowed to read and change. More: Microsoft 365

How long has Revolutionary RMM been running?

We do not put a founding date on the site, because the record tells you more than a date would. The changelog lists releases, and an entry appears there only once production is running that release, so what you read is what shipped rather than what was announced. The roadmap shows what is being built now, what is next and what is not started. More: Changelog

Is there a minimum contract or term?

Your written quote states the term, whether billing is monthly or annual, and any platform minimum. Those are set against your environment rather than published here, so the quote is the answer and this page is not. More: Pricing

Who is Revolutionary RMM for?

Managed service providers who look after many customers, and internal IT teams who look after one organization. The same product serves both. More: About us

Why should I believe what this site says?

Because the claims that could rot are generated rather than typed. The capability counts on the platform page are counted from the product's own source, each capability page's list of what is missing is built from the product's feature record, and a changelog entry appears only once production is actually running the release that carries it. The walkthrough videos are recordings of the running product, labeled with the fictional customer names they use. Where we have no evidence, such as an attestation report, the page says so rather than implying otherwise. More: Changelog

Are design-partner terms the same as standard pricing?

No. Design partners who continue with us after the design partner period keep 50 percent off for life. Everything else about a pilot, its scope, timing, support and exit terms, is agreed with you separately. More: Pricing

Can I see it working without booking a call?

Yes, and without giving us anything. The tour page carries five recordings of the running product with every step captioned: alert rules per engine and per customer, tickets beside the monitoring that raised them, antivirus state across every customer, identity security for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, and a full walkthrough of the zero trust area. Every capability page also carries captures taken from the product itself. All of it uses a fictional MSP and fictional customer names, which each page states. More: See it in action

Do you publish a status page or uptime figures?

Not yet. There is no public status page, no published uptime figure and no contractual service level agreement. The product does carry a cloud status view, but that reports on the cloud services your customers depend on rather than on us, so do not read it as one. When something looks wrong, mail info@revolutionaryrmm.com at any hour and a person reads it, because support is 24/7, though there is still no contractual response time. More: Security and trust

Is Revolutionary RMM for internal IT teams, not just MSPs?

Yes, and it does not have to be run like an MSP. Use one organization, add each office as a location so a warehouse can carry different thresholds from head office, and group devices by operating system, tags or location. One reusable enrollment token covers the whole organization, so there is nothing to create per machine. The multi-customer machinery stays in the product and simply goes unused: you leave invoicing, quotes and payment processors alone, and hide portal tabs by role so staff see their own tickets and nothing meant for administrators. More: For internal IT

Is this a side project or something we can rely on?

It is the product Revolutionary Software builds, and a separate MSP runs it every day on real managed customers. Judge it on what you can check rather than on a claim: the tour page carries recordings of the running product, the capability counts on the platform page are read from its source, and the missing pieces are printed next to the working ones on every capability page. What we do not have, such as an attestation report or a staffed operations center, is written on the security page instead of being left for you to discover. More: See it in action

Thanks

You are welcome. Ask me anything else about the product, or browse the full list of answers if you would rather read.

What are your support hours and how fast do you reply?

Support is 24/7. You can reach us at any hour through the contact form or info@revolutionaryrmm.com, and the founding team answers, so you reach someone who built the product. Two things we will not dress up: that is not a staffed operations center on a shift rota with follow-the-sun handover, and there is no contractual response time or service level agreement. We would rather you knew that while you are choosing than during an incident. More: Contact

What does it do for Microsoft 365?

For each customer tenant it shows Secure Score, posture findings, license waste, connected apps and Intune actions. Identity security can also block a sign-in or revoke sessions. More: Microsoft 365

What does Revolutionary RMM not do?

The gaps we are asked about most: there is no importer for tickets, scripts or documentation from another tool, no network discovery scan, no verified third-party application updating, no stable public API and no self-serve export of everything a workspace holds. On the company side there is no SOC 2 report, no completed independent penetration test, no cyber insurance, no contractual service level agreement and no contractual response time. Support is 24/7 from the founding team rather than a staffed operations center. Every capability page carries its own list of what is missing, built from the product's own feature record, so those lists cannot fall behind what we ship. More: Roadmap

Who am I talking to?

I am the automated assistant on this site. I answer from what the Revolutionary RMM team has written down, and I am automated rather than a person.

Are there any extra costs?

Some costs are paid to someone else: usage on your own AI provider key, text messages through your SMS provider, your payment processor's fees, and Entra ID P1 licensing if you want richer Microsoft sign-in logs. More: Pricing

Can customers text us?

Yes, once you connect voip.ms, Twilio or Telnyx and a business number. Inbound texts open or continue tickets and replies go back as texts, and this path has seen limited field use so far. More: Service desk

Can I get pricing without a sales call?

You can ask without a call. Send a pricing question through the contact form or email info@revolutionaryrmm.com with your approximate endpoint and customer counts, the operating systems involved and the integrations you need to keep, and the reply states the rate, how each device type is counted, any platform minimum and the term in writing. What you will not find is a rate printed on the pricing page, because none is published yet. The call is the faster route, not the only one. More: Pricing

Can Revolutionary RMM replace the RMM we run today?

For most of the daily work, yes: monitoring and alerts, patch management, remote control, scripting, network and SNMP monitoring, endpoint protection, identity security for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, mobile devices, service desk with a client portal, documentation and credentials, and billing are all part of the platform rather than separate modules. The honest edges are these. There is no importer, so tickets, scripts and documentation do not come across. Machines older than Windows 10 or Windows Server 2016 cannot run the agent. The API covers enrollment tokens and security posture only. And there is no SOC 2 report or contractual service level agreement. You can move one customer at a time, because each customer organization has its own reusable enrollment token. More: Switching from another RMM

Can scripts run on a schedule?

Yes. Attach a script to a customer or location and run it once, daily or weekly. On Windows and Linux a script can also run as a native task at startup or sign-in, which is not available on Macs yet. More: Automation

Can we switch billing off?

There is no switch that removes it. You simply do not use invoicing, quotes or payment processors, and you can hide billing tabs from staff in the portal by role. More: For internal IT

Can you import our tickets, scripts and documentation?

No. There is no importer for tickets, scripts or documentation from another tool today. Assets and documentation can be exported out of Revolutionary RMM, and customer records, credentials and runbooks are written in the product beside the devices they belong to. Decide before the move which history you actually need and how you will keep it. More: Switching from another RMM

Do network devices need an agent?

No. A relay running on a machine you already manage polls them over SNMP and receives their syslog. More: Network monitoring

Do we need to import MIB files?

No MIB file is needed for SNMP monitoring. Pick the device class, such as switch, router, printer, battery backup or storage, and the right identifiers are polled for you. More: Network monitoring

Do you connect to an automation or workflow platform?

Not with a built-in connector. Alert rules send email and can post to a webhook, so a tool that accepts an incoming webhook can receive them. Automation itself runs inside the product: PowerShell and shell scripts as the system account or as the signed-in user with elevation, attached to the monitoring check that saw the problem, with the run and its output recorded. A versioned API with scoped service accounts and signed webhooks you can replay is planned rather than available, so anything that depends on calling us is worth raising before you commit. More: Automation

Do you connect to our service management or PSA tool?

There is no connector to an outside service management tool today. The service desk is part of Revolutionary RMM instead: tickets, time, service-level targets, customer records, quotes and invoicing sit beside the monitoring that raised them, and email, portal and text message requests land in one queue. If you intend to keep the tool you have, raise it on the call, because the bearer-token API covers enrollment tokens and security posture only and is not a substitute for a connector. More: Service desk

Do you support Chromebooks or ChromeOS?

No. The agent runs on Windows 10 and 11, Windows Server 2016 and later, macOS on Intel and Apple silicon, and Linux with glibc 2.31 and later. ChromeOS is not supported and nothing on the public roadmap covers it. Mobile management covers iOS and iPadOS with your own Apple push certificate, and Android Enterprise once your workspace connects its own Google service account. More: The platform

Does the user have to accept a remote session?

It depends on the platform. Windows workstations show a prompt naming the technician and proceed if nobody answers within 15 seconds, Windows servers do not prompt, and on a Mac the signed-in user is asked to allow the session. More: Remote control

How long before we know whether it fits?

The first real answer takes a 30-minute call, because that is where we walk the workflows you care about and say plainly where the product stops. After that the pace is yours. Each customer organization has one reusable enrollment token, so you can bring a single customer over with the deployment tool you already use and watch real alerts, patches and tickets from your own estate before deciding anything. Nothing requires you to move every endpoint to try it on some of them. More: Switching from another RMM

How long does it take to set up?

The parts you drive are quick: add the customer organization, take its reusable enrollment token, and push the silent EXE or MSI through Group Policy, Intune or your configuration manager. The agent checks in every 60 seconds, so a machine appears with its reported state almost immediately and there is nothing to create per device. The parts that wait on other people are the connections: a customer's Microsoft 365 administrator approving the Revolutionary RMM application, a Google service account with domain-wide delegation, and a relay on a machine you already manage for each network site. More: Switching from another RMM

Is there a sandbox or a self-serve login?

Not today. There is no sandbox tenant and no self-serve signup, so the two ways to see the product are the recordings on the tour page and a demo call walked on a live workspace. If you already have a workspace, sign in at app.revolutionaryrmm.com with your organization's address, and your administrator can tell you what it is. More: See it in action

What happens if a permission is missing?

The platform names the missing Microsoft Graph permission instead of failing quietly, so you know exactly what the customer's administrator needs to grant. More: Microsoft 365

What happens to a patch when the machine is switched off?

The command waits for it. If the device stays offline past the command lifetime, the deployment records it as expired and the patch re-arms for the next scan. More: Patch management

What happens to our data if you stop operating?

No promise we could make here would be worth more than what you can actually get out today, so here is the position as it stands. Assets and documentation export now, and documentation exports leave secrets out. There is no self-serve export of tickets or of a whole workspace yet. A written data governance statement covering where data is stored, how long it is kept, how it is deleted and how you get it back is in development, and a workspace's data is removed on request. Ask what leaving would involve before you commit rather than after. More: Security and trust

What happens when something goes wrong?

In the product a failure is recorded rather than hidden. A command that ran is recorded separately from the later check that shows whether the problem is actually gone, so an action is never reported as an outcome. A failed update is retried and stops being retried after three failures on a device. An alert clears itself only when the condition really clears, and an update that installed but needs a restart is marked waiting for reboot instead of being deployed again. With us there is no public status page, no contractual response time and no staffed operations center, but support is 24/7, so you mail info@revolutionaryrmm.com at any hour and a person reads it. What if the agent or the platform is compromised?

The honest answer is about what would limit it. The agent acts only on commands carrying a valid signature, so network position alone does not let someone drive your fleet. Agent updates are signed and version-checked. Each MSP workspace has its own PostgreSQL database and role, so one workspace is not a route into another. Stored credentials and connection secrets are encrypted with AES-256-GCM with the key held outside the database, and every reveal creates an audit event naming who revealed which record. We have not completed an independent penetration test, and we say so rather than implying someone has reviewed the design for us. If you find something, report it through the contact form and mark it as a security report. More: Security and trust

What would we lose by moving from our current RMM?

Plan for four things. There is no importer for tickets, scripts or documentation from another tool, so decide which history you need and where it will live. Machines older than Windows 10 or Windows Server 2016 cannot run the agent and need network monitoring or an upgrade instead. The bearer-token API covers minting enrollment tokens and reading security posture only, so a workflow that depends on a broad API should be raised before you move rather than after. And there is no SOC 2 report or contractual service level agreement, which some procurement processes require. More: Switching from another RMM

Who owns Revolutionary Software and how is it funded?

We do not publish ownership or funding details on the site, and we are not going to imply backing we do not have. What is stated plainly: Revolutionary Software builds Revolutionary RMM, and Revolutionary IT is a separate company, an MSP, and the first design partner. If the commercial standing of the company is part of your decision, raise it on the call and you will get a direct answer rather than a page. More: About us

Can a device be isolated automatically?

Yes. An antivirus policy can isolate a device on its own when it detects a threat of the severity you choose or higher. More: Endpoint protection

Can customer administrators see identity findings?

Yes. The client portal has a read-only identity view with the sign-in feed and connection status, and you control which portal tabs each role sees. More: Identity security

Can different customers have different thresholds?

Yes. Policies attach to an organization and can be narrowed by location, device group or a single pinned device, so one customer's busy server does not set the standard for everyone. More: Monitoring and alerts

Can it change tenant settings for us?

For settings covered by hardening change plans, yes, after approval: each plan shows the exact before and after values, reads the result back and proposes a rollback. Everything else you change in Microsoft's admin centers, guided by the finding. More: Microsoft 365

Can our customers edit their own documentation?

Yes. A customer's administrator can add and edit documentation for their organization in the portal, while credentials, deletions and revision management stay with your team. More: Documentation and assets

Can our staff raise and follow their own tickets?

Yes. The portal lets staff raise and follow their tickets, and you decide by role which other tabs they see. More: For internal IT

Can we export our data?

Assets and documentation can be exported today, and documentation exports leave secrets out. There is no self-serve export of tickets or a whole workspace yet, so ask us what leaving would involve before you commit. More: Pricing

Can we help shape the product?

Yes. Design partners bring a real workflow and help decide what we improve next. A conversation carries no commitment, and any pilot is scoped separately. More: Design partners

Can we lock or erase a lost phone?

Yes. Apple devices can be locked or erased, and Android devices can be locked, rebooted or wiped. More: Mobile devices

Can we send you our security questionnaire?

Yes, and early is better than finding a mismatch after you have moved devices. Bring it to the demo call and we will answer it in plain terms. More: Security and trust

Can we set patch rules per customer?

Yes. Auto-deploy rules and exclusions are set per customer, and deployments can target a customer, a location, a device group or specific devices. An update deploys when you deploy it or when its waiting period ends, unless it is excluded. More: Patch management

Can we undo a bad edit?

Yes. Every documentation page keeps its revisions, so you can preview an older version, copy from it or restore it. More: Documentation and assets

Do alerts create tickets automatically?

They can. Any alert can become a ticket in one click, alert sources can open one on their own, and the ticket resolves when the condition clears. More: Monitoring and alerts

Do customers see their phones and tablets?

Yes. Enrolled devices appear in that customer's own portal, under mobile devices. More: Mobile devices
